Included on this CD-ROM is DiskFit Direct, “Essential” backup software from Dantz Development Corporation.
DiskFit Direct, also available separately as a commercial product, is designed to provide efficient, easy-to-use backup of your hard disk to floppy, SyQuest, Zip, Jaz, or magneto-optical disks.
Just copy DiskFit Direct to the hard disk you wish to back up and launch it. Incremental backups require that you insert an existing backup disk.
Note: DiskFit Direct creates a file-by-file “mirror image” backup: each time you run it, old or obsolete files are deleted from the backup set, replaced by new or changed files. This way, your backup set doesn’t grow unless your files do. We recommend that you maintain at least two backups.

IN CASE OF TROUBLE
DiskFit Direct was designed to be easy-to-use and trouble-free. If you have a question about DiskFit Direct’s operation, please refer to DiskFit Direct’s online Help or to the User’s Guide included on this disk.
If you encounter an operational problem, try quitting DiskFit Direct, rebooting your Macintosh, and starting again. DiskFit Direct will resume where it left off.

1. License. The computer program enclosed (“Software”) is licensed, not sold, to you by Dantz Development Corporation (“Dantz”) for use under the terms of this License. Dantz grants you a non-exclusive license to:
(a) Use one copy of Software at a time.
(b) Install one copy of the Software onto each hard disk connected to one computer, and make one copy of the Software on floppy disk for backup purposes. This copy must include the Dantz copyright notice.
2. Restrictions. You may NOT distribute copies of Software to others or electronically transfer Software from one computer to another over a network. The Software contains trade secrets and to protect them you may NOT decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise reduce Software to a human perceivable form. 3. Termination. This License is effective until terminated. This License will terminate immediately without notice from Dantz if you fail to comply with any of its provisions. Upon termination you must destroy the Software and all copies thereof, and you may terminate this License at any time by doing so.
4. Export Law Assurances. You agree that neither the Software nor any direct product thereof will be transferred or re-exported, directly or indirectly, into any country prohibited by the U.S. Export Administration Act and regulations thereunder or will be used for any purpose prohibited by the Act.
5. Warranty Disclaimer, Limitation of Remedies and Damages. THE SOFTWARE AND ACCOMPANYING DOCUMENTATION ARE LICENSED “AS IS.” THE FULL TEXT OF THE WARRANTY IS PROVIDED BELOW.
